Products of Joris Ide: the range consists of profiles for roofs and walls, technical profiles, composite panels, purlins, etc.
These products have a lot to offer:
Aesthetics
With our products, you can give your building its own identity using design and colour. The extensive range provides a wealth of possibilities for industrial, agricultural and residential buildings.
Thermal performance
Saving energy is a key aim of construction regulations. Besides the importance of proper thermal insulation, requirements are also placed on buildings’ energy performance. The composite panels, consisting of a core of PIR, PUR or rock wool, are products that have excellent U ratings (expressed as W/m²K, European directive) and accordingly perform very well in terms of energy consumption. Not only is the material important, but also the construction or the building itself. Every application has different requirements and so each product must meet different conditions. We can propose products for nearly every application thanks to the extensive range of composite panels.
Fire safety
The requirements define the minimum fire safety performance using for example the terms: fire retardation and fire response.
With our rock wool panels and composite panels with a core of PUR or PIR, we can meet a broad range of requirements and we can offer a solution suited to nearly every building type and to nearly every requirement.
The requirements can vary from country to country and depend on the application. European standards are being used increasingly for testing and fire testing. Rock wool, also known as mineral wool, is pre-eminently suited to applications with high fire requirements. Besides the choice of the most suitable insulation for a certain application, the weight and thickness of the panels are other considerations.
Acoustics
Regulations set requirements for the average maximum allowable noise level. This also depends on the type of building and its function. It is not only important that buildings can keep outside noise quiet inside, but consideration must also be given to noises that are produced within a building. Sometimes it is required that noises produced inside a building are absorbed to prevent echoes for example. We have rock wool panels with a perforated interior wall and perforate composite systems with inserted insulation, for example. These products add to the acoustic comfort of the building because the reflected noise is absorbed by the rock wool insulation behind or above the metal wall. Depending on the perforation and thickness of the insulation, the noise can be absorbed more or less. The choice for a profile/panel that is or is not perforated depends on the requirements set for sound insulation.
Functional
Since time immemorial, the primary purpose of a building has been to protect man and machine against the forces of nature. The bearing structure is of huge importance. Joris Ide Group has purlins and complete structures in its range that can serve as the basis for a building. Exterior walls and roofs are not the basis of a building but are also equally important in order to achieve a strong structure. It is important that the profiled sheets, panels and systems meet the current requirements and thus ensure proper transfer of the loads onto the bearing structure. It is important that sufficient attention be devoted to the design. Our systems, composite panels or composite systems consisting of interior boxes and single profile sheets, have already demonstrated their quality.
Renovation
In many cases, renovating and updating a building makes more sense than demolishing it and building something new. Precoated steel is an ideal renovation material when existing roofs and walls are replaced. The existing structure can remain and by installing new profiles or panels, your building can be renewed and upgraded, while also extending the life of the building.
In a complex situation, the use of steel also offers a solution that is perfectly suited to exceptional conditions such as small thickness, great rigidity, long life and low maintenance.
