New website’s green credentials
18/12/2007
Composite panel specialist Joris Ide has relaunched its website, detailing full product information and environmental strategies for 2008.
Included in its plans is a drive to reduce carbon emissions throughout the manufacturing process and supply chain, plus a commitment to measure the carbon footprint of its business operations and product portfolio.
Already the business has engaged dcarbon8, a world-leading consultancy in carbon measurement and reduction, to audit its environmental performance.
In addition, the company has launched L°5, a low carbon polyisocyanurate insulating core which is CFC and HCFC free and has an ozone depletion of zero.
Managing director Simon Grisewood said: “We want to be recognised as the leading European manufacturer in providing sustainable solutions for the metal building sector. Understanding and evaluating our environmental profile is essential to the long-term success of our business.”
Joris Ide’s new website also contains full details of its product range, which includes composite roof and wall panels, secret fix and through fix wall systems and Rockwool panels. Importantly, details for each panel system include certification approvals, including LPCB.
Joris Ide’s UK operation is based in Liverpool, with panels manufactured at the company’s headquarters near Bruge, in Belgium. The business operates in 14 European countries and produces some 3,000,000m2 of composite panels each year.
